#1 Ecofest 5K Adventure Run/Cyclocross Series

Description |
So Cal Cyclocross is pleased to announce their new 5k trail running series. These races will take place before the cyclocross racers take to the course, allowing you an extreme running experience. Each course features grass, trail and pavement combined trails, allowing you to find your footing in a new way! The Ecofest series is proud to be GOING GREEN in becoming a ecofriendly race environment. The different events in the series take place at different locations in and around the LA area. In addition, this provides you with a great opportuity to check out the exciting world of cyclocross. Demo bikes are availible on site for those who dare to give this exhilirating sport a try after their 5k run!
This first event takes place at Lake Casitas in Ventura on Sunday Nov. 2.

From the south (Los Angeles):
Take the 101 Freeway north to Ventura
Take the 33 Freeway towards Ojai (starts as Freeway and continues as 2 lane road)
After approximately 10 miles from the 101, in Mira Monte, look for a McDonalds, then a Taco Bell and then a Wendys on the right hand side of the road
At the stop light immediately after the Wendys (Intersection of Baldwin Road (Highway 150) and the 33), turn left on to Highway 150 (Baldwin Road)
Go west on Highway 150 approximately 3 miles
Turn left on Santa Ana Road
Entrance to Lake is within 100 yards of turning on right hand side |
