Description The Carpinteria Triathlon is a benefit event for the City’s Parks & Recreation youth programs. Proceeds will help to provide scholarships and additional equipment for programs such as After School at the Pool, Aqua Camp, Junior Lifeguards and our ocean. Olympic Distance 1.5K Swim | 40K Bike | 10K Run Sprint Distance .5K Swim | 15K Bike | 5K Run Wetsuits are recommended and that the anticipated temperature is approximately 65-67 degrees

Comments Carpinteria is approximately 12 miles south of Santa Barbara and 18 miles north of Ventura on US 101 Traveling from the South (Los Angeles area): Travel north on the 101 freeway (approximately 20 miles north of the City of Ventura) to Carpinteria.Exit at Casitas Pass Road. Turn left on Casitas Pass Road (back over the freeway) to Carpinteria Avenue. Turn right on Carpinteria Avenue to Linden Avenue.Turn left on Linden Avenue approximately 1/4 mile to Linden Field (on your left hand side). There are two free public parking lots off Linden and another off of Ninth Street on the right. State Beach Parking -- $8.00 fee.
