The Chimera 100K Mountain Race
Description The Chimera 100K follows single tracks and Truck Trails in and around the canyons and peaks of the Saddleback Mountains in the Cleveland National Forest. The contest is between the runner and the Mountain... Which is the Chimera and which is the prey will be determined! The 100K race has over 32,000' of elevation change and is rated one of the toughest trail 100K Races in the Country. The 100-mile option was added this year due to the cancellation of the Angeles Crest 100 Endurance Run. Race restricted to 150 runners.

Comments Race starts and finishes at Blue Jay Campground, located in the Trabuco region of the Cleveland National Forest. The camp is 22 miles east of San Juan Capistrano, Ca. and 5 miles North of the Ortega Highway (RTE74).
