| Description |
In 2005 USA Triathlon offered a pilot program called the AquaBike. Events which are participating in the AquaBike program will give athletes the opportunity to compete in a category where they will complete the swim and bike portions of the race, while omitting the run leg of the race. In association with the Full Vineman, we are offering AquaBike categories for both the Full Vineman and the Vineman Ironman 70.3 distances. The Full Vineman swim is staged at Johnson’s Beach in Guerneville, California. The swim takes place in the Russian River. Groups of 75-150 swimmers at a time will start in five minute intervals beginning at 6:30 A.M. Water temperatures should be between 72 and 74 degrees; wetsuits will be allowed as this falls within USA Triathlon guidelines. |
