| Description |
The 1st race of the 2011/2012 SoCal XTERRA season takes place in Point Mugu State Park in Malibu/Oxnard, CA. This race starts at the southern end of the park in La Jolla Canyon, which is 1 mile west of Sycamore Canyon. And no, this is not in La Jolla, that beautiful city down in San Diego!!!
All participants get a great (seriously, it's not a plain white one) race t-shirt, cool finisher medal, hot breakfast with all the fixin's, coffee, entry into the raffle of swag, and the satisfaction of completing one of the best races around!

This race is held in La Jolla Canyon which is part of Pt. Mugu State Park at 9000 W. Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). Parking is along the Eastside of PCH (free!). The race start is within the Ray Miller Canyon trailhead parking lot. It's a quick 5-10 minute from PCH to the start, so plan accordingly! |
